Fresher-friendly, up to 2 yrsAbout the Role We are looking for a Hardware Field Quality Engineer Intern to join our Field Quality team at Lyft's Longueuil facility. You will work alongside field quality engineers to spot emerging hardware issues, investigate root causes, and support fixes with engineering, manufacturing, and market operations teams. Responsibilities Support failure analysis on parts returned from the field, including teardown, inspection, and electrical testing with documentation. Monitor field data such as vehicle and station alerts and repair records, flagging emerging issues. Build and update dashboards and queries tracking reliability metrics and retrofit progress. Assist with field retrofit campaigns by identifying affected units and tracking progress. Review repair SOPs and troubleshooting guides, suggesting improvements. Contribute to field failure investigations in Jira, working on corrective actions. Requirements Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering at a Canadian university. Professional proficiency in French and English (written and spoken). Hands‑on comfort with electromechanical hardware, disassembly, inspection, and basic electrical troubleshooting using a multimeter. Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large, imperfect datasets. Familiarity with structured problem‑solving methods (5 Whys, fishbone, 8D, FMEA). Experience with SQL, Python, Mode, Hex, Tableau, Power BI, and Jira is a plus. Eligibility Graduating between December 2027 and summer 2028. Previous internship or co‑op in quality, reliability, test, or failure analysis is a plus.
