The role requires close collaboration with Integrity & Compliance, Safeguards, Security, Policy, Research and Product teams to produce integrated advice on safety, security and data protection. Candidates should hold a JD from an accredited law school, maintain active bar membership in at least one U.S. state, and have hands‑on experience advising a technology business on privacy matters, including drafting and negotiating data‑protection agreements and working with global privacy frameworks. Requirements JD from accredited law school and active U.S. bar membership; hands‑on experience advising technology business on privacy and data protection; experience drafting and negotiating DPAs, BAAs, data sharing agreements; knowledge of global privacy laws (Americas, EEA, APAC); ability to read technical documentation; excellent legal writing; at least 8 years privacy and data protection legal experience; familiarity with software and model development; ability to build privacy processes and playbooks; experience with privacy regulators; background advising safety, security or trust‑and‑safety teams. Eligibility Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; required field of study relevant to role; minimum 8 years experience; hybrid work location (San Francisco or New York) at least 3 days per week.
