About the Role We are seeking a Recruiting Analytics Data Engineer to join our People Data Solutions team, focusing on building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our recruiting analytics capabilities. You will design scalable data architectures and implement robust data models for evidence‑based decision‑making across Anthropic. Responsibilities Data Infrastructure & Modeling: Refactor and optimize BigQuery tables, design scalable architectures, build dimensional models, implement data governance, and ensure access controls. Pipeline Development & Integration: Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt and BigQuery to integrate data from Workday, Greenhouse, and internal tools; create reliable data flows for real‑time and batch processing; automate data quality checks. Analytics Engineering & Modeling: Develop semantic layers, documentation, and data products that standardize key recruiting metrics; partner with data scientists, engineers, and recruiting teams. Requirements Minimum qualifications: Expert in BigQuery optimization and partitioning, experience with dimensional models and slowly changing dimensions, proficient in SQL, Python, dbt, and Fivetran, implemented data security and privacy controls, ability to translate HR concepts into data models, strong communication skills. Preferred qualifications: 5+ years data engineering experience, familiarity with ATS platforms (Greenhouse, Lever), experience building semantic layers, data pipelines for survey/text analytics, knowledge of graph databases or network analysis, background in privacy‑enhancing technologies, experience in high‑growth tech or AI/ML companies, familiarity with workforce planning and predictive analytics. Eligibility Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience; relevant field of study.
