This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong commercial judgement and can apply both to Monzo’s most important and complex challenges. All our data lives in one place and is super easy to use. 90% of day-to-day data-driven decisions are covered by self-serve analytics through Looker, which gives data scientists the headspace to focus on more impactful business questions and analyses. As a Staff Data Scientist, you’ll lead efforts on strategically important, business-critical problems. You’ll apply judgement in areas of organisational or technical complexity, steward initiatives end-to-end, and focus your hands-on contribution where it can create the greatest impact. You’ll be a trusted technical partner to senior leaders, raise the bar for Data Science across Monzo, and build capability in others through coaching, reusable approaches and clear standards.
