As an Analytical Engineering Manager you lead a team of Analytical Engineers who own the Gold layer, canonical metrics, certified dashboards, and semantic layer. Responsibilities Lead, grow, and develop a team of Analytical Engineers; own hiring, coaching, performance, and career growth. Own the Gold layer and semantic‑layer strategy across domains such as PLG, marketing, revenue, NPI/AWM. Treat recurring insights as products with owners, cadences, and SLAs. Drive self‑serve enablement by prioritizing Gold tables, governed metric definitions, and metadata. Partner with Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Infrastructure, and business teams to author data contracts and SLAs. Manage prioritization, run‑rate, and cost; make build‑vs‑buy and stop‑doing trade‑offs. Requirements 3+ years managing or leading a team of analytics engineers, data engineers, or analysts. Advanced SQL, data modeling, semantic layer design, dbt or equivalent, modern warehouse/lakehouse platforms (Databricks preferred). Track record of shipping trusted data products (Gold tables, canonical metrics, semantic layers). Strong stakeholder management with senior cross‑functional partners. Experience with Unity Catalog, Looker/LookML, reverse‑ETL tools (Salesforce, Marketo, Gainsight) is a plus. Curiosity about AI‑native analytics (NL2SQL, Claude, Genie).
