About the Role Finance & Strategy Lead for Claude Platform (API) responsible for financial strategy, pricing, packaging, and business model design, working closely with product, engineering, and go‑to‑market teams. Responsibilities Own financial strategy for the Claude Platform including pricing, packaging, discounting, and commercial terms across channels. Design and launch new business models such as capacity commitments, service tiers, and usage‑based pricing. Set pricing for new product features, balancing adoption, capacity, and margin. Partner with infrastructure and inference teams to align cost‑to‑serve with pricing. Collaborate with product leaders on roadmap, business cases, and executive recommendations. Define metrics, build dashboards, and track pricing performance. Work with FP&A, accounting, deal desk, and revenue operations for forecasting and reporting. Mentor Product Finance team members. Requirements Experience in strategic finance, product finance, or related field with ownership of pricing or business model decisions. Hands‑on experience with consumption‑based or usage‑based business models. Experience with infrastructure, cloud, or developer platform businesses. Track record of designing and launching new pricing or business models. Partnering with product teams to translate financial analysis into product decisions. Advanced financial modeling skills in spreadsheets and SQL. Ability to build business cases and present to executive leadership.
