As a Renewals Manager in Tokyo, you will join Asana, a provider of work‑management and collaboration software used by teams worldwide. The role centers on owning the end‑to‑end renewal process for Japanese customers, working closely with account executives, customer success managers, finance and legal teams. Daily activities include contacting key decision‑makers before contract expiry, presenting value‑based business cases, negotiating terms, and executing renewal agreements in Salesforce and other SaaS tools. You will monitor a rolling forecast, flag at‑risk accounts, and develop mitigation plans while also spotting upsell or cross‑sell opportunities to improve net retention. 2-5 years experienceAbout the Role As a member of the Renewals team in Tokyo, you will define, test, and scale a renewals model for the Japan market, partnering with Account Executives, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal to ensure continued customer success. Responsibilities Own and lead the end‑to‑end renewals process, negotiate contracts, manage renewal risk, and identify upsell/cross‑sell opportunities. Maintain a 90‑120‑day rolling forecast, track renewal metrics (Renewal Rate, NRR), and keep customer data up to date in Salesforce and other systems. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues, drive timely renewals, and improve processes. Requirements 2–5 years of experience in SaaS customer‑facing roles such as renewals, account management, or sales. Proven ability to manage commercial negotiations, value selling, and achieve revenue targets. Comfortable using Salesforce, Asana, and other SaaS tools; quick learner of new technologies. Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills. Business‑level fluency in Japanese and English.
