About the Role Duolingo’s social channels are a cultural phenomenon. The Senior Creative, Social will join the Brand Marketing Studio and collaborate with the social team to turn trends, memes, and cultural moments into breakthrough ideas across social, experiential, OOH, partnerships, events, and other cultural touchpoints. Responsibilities Turn social moments into ideas beyond the feed, including stunts, billboards, products, mascot appearances, partnerships, and pop‑ups. Provide clear, actionable feedback to social content creators. Develop and ship ambitious creative on internet timelines, often moving from opportunity to execution within one or two weeks. Identify validated trends, memes, fandoms, and cultural moments for Duolingo to engage. Create original social‑native content (posts, videos, memes) when needed. Steward and evolve Duolingo’s voice, visual language, characters, and humor across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and emerging platforms. Collaborate with social, brand marketing, design, production, PR, partnerships, and legal teams. Present ideas clearly, from fast Slack pitches to fully developed creative decks. Requirements 7+ years of experience creating culturally relevant work for social platforms, brands, agencies, media companies, or personal audience. Portfolio demonstrating social‑native thinking, strong concepts, and excellent creative craft. Deep fluency in internet culture and ability to spot emerging opportunities. Strong copywriting skills and sharp eye for art direction, design, and visual storytelling. Expertise in short‑form video concepting, directing, and production. Experience turning cultural insights into experiential activations, earned‑media stunts, OOH, products, or partnerships. Ability to give direct, useful creative feedback and operate at both strategic and hands‑on levels. Eligibility Must be able to work from or relocate to Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY.
