Role Overview As the Okta Research & Design (ORD) Jira Owner & Administrator, nested within the Technical Program Management (TPM) organization, you will define and execute the strategy for how ORD plans, tracks, and reports on engineering work within the full toolchain of Atlassian Jira, Jira Advanced Roadmaps (Plans), Confluence, Rovo, and AI integrations. Responsibilities 1. Platform Ownership & Strategic Tooling Direction – Define, implement, govern an AI‑led strategy for utilizing Jira for product planning, tracking, and reporting. Oversee architecture, schema updates, workflow management, custom fields, permission sets, and AI integrations. 2. Engineering Process Optimization & Standardization – Partner with Product Management, Engineering, QA, and Security to align tool mechanics with release cadences and secure SDLC requirements. Standardize Jira workflows and migrate teams to a single source of truth. 3. Data Governance & Analytics Enablement – Ensure data integrity within Jira, configure reporting engines such as Faros.ai, and serve on the Jira Change Control Board. 4. Direct Support & Enablement Packages – Create enablement packages, documentation, and training guides for user adoption.
