About the Role As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) you will act as a hands‑on, consultative build partner for a portfolio of strategic Cloudflare customers, shaping architecture, prototyping, reviewing code and removing technical blockers to help them launch faster on the Cloudflare platform. Responsibilities Act as the technical build partner across strategic customers, shaping scalable architectures and guiding design decisions. Develop prototypes, reference implementations and sample code using Cloudflare Workers, KV, R2, D1, Durable Objects, AI, AI Gateway, Vectorize, security, networking and observability features. Review customer code, share best practices and improve performance, security and quality. Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems across the stack. Contribute reference code, samples and technical guidance for reuse. Participate in Customer Engineering rituals such as design reviews and planning sessions. Surface real‑world edge cases and product gaps to Cloudflare product and engineering teams.
