The Senior Software Engineer (NetSuite Developer) role sits within the Business Technology team in Bengaluru and focuses on customizing, extending, and maintaining Okta’s NetSuite ERP environment. Day‑to‑day work involves writing and maintaining SuiteScript (1.0/2.0) and SuiteFlow scripts, creating saved searches, building workflows, and developing integrations with third‑party applications using REST and SOAP APIs. The engineer will also leverage NetSuite’s native AI capabilities—such as the SuiteScript Generative AI API, Prompt Studio, and AI Connector Service—to add AI‑enhanced features, and will spend time exploring external AI frameworks like AWS Bedrock and RAG to identify future improvement opportunities. Supporting production issues, collaborating with cross‑functional teammates, and configuring NetSuite modules (Order Management, Billing, Vendor Bill, etc.) to align with business needs are also part of the role. The position suits candidates with five to eight years of hands‑on NetSuite development experience, strong JavaScript and SQL skills, familiarity with SuiteCloud tools, and an understanding of core ERP modules. Experience with NetSuite’s AI APIs and a willingness to experiment with AWS AI services are advantageous, as is a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent industry background.

Okta seeks a skilled NetSuite Developer to optimize, customize, and maintain our NetSuite ERP system. As part of our Business Technology team, you will be responsible for developing scripts, workflows, integrations, and system enhancements to improve business processes and scalability. This role will report to the Manager in Bangalore, India. We’d love to hear from you! Job Duties and Responsibilities Develop, and maintain NetSuite customizations, including SuiteScripts (1.0/2.0), workflows, and saved searches. Leverage NetSuite's native AI capabilities and APIs, such as the SuiteScript Generative AI API, NetSuite Prompt Studio, and the AI Connector Service (MCP) to create custom AI-enhanced features. Closely work with the BT team to design, develop, test, implement & support system solutions primarily in NetSuite ERP. Support & resolve production issues Develop and maintain integrations with third-party applications via REST/SOAP APIs. Dedicate time to learning and experimenting with external AI frameworks like AWS Bedrock and RAG to identify opportunities for future NetSuite enhancements. Required Skills: 5 to 8 years of NetSuite development experience ( SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk ). Experience with SuiteCloud tools, REST/SOAP APIs, and third-party integrations. Experience with the SuiteScript Generative AI APIs to integrate LLM capabilities for advanced scripting solutions. Good understanding of NetSuite ERP modules (Order Management, Billing, Vendor bill, etc.). Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, and related web technologies. Configure NetSuite modules to align with business needs, including leveraging Prompt Studio to customize and manage NetSuite AI functions like Text Enhance . Nice to have some experience with foundational AI services, including the desire to utilize a unified platform like AWS Bedrock for Generative AI development and deployment.
