5-5 years experienceAbout the Role We are looking for a Senior Windows Software Engineer to join the Zero Trust team and work on the Zero Trust desktop client that protects corporate devices by securely routing traffic to Cloudflare’s global network. Responsibilities Implement high‑performance networking code using Rust and platform‑native languages/APIs across multiple desktop platforms. Improve code quality, build solid, testable, well‑documented foundations, and own technical designs end‑to‑end. Collaborate with product managers and other teams to deliver customer‑impacting features. Mentor engineers, raise the team’s technical bar through code reviews and knowledge sharing. Requirements In‑depth knowledge of Windows internals, kernel‑mode programming, and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, QUIC, HTTP/3). Experience with low‑level Windows driver development, especially network drivers. Strong programming skills in Rust, C, C++, C#, Swift, and Python. Ability to write multithreaded, asynchronous, easily‑testable code and debug network‑related problems. Understanding of VPN technologies, privacy, security, and anonymity trade‑offs.
