Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join the Infrastructure Supply Chain Automation team within AWS Infrastructure Services. This role focuses on the design, planning, delivery, and operation of the global infrastructure that powers AWS cloud services. The daily responsibilities involve architecting scalable systems, developing complex software solutions, and maintaining high standards throughout the full software development life cycle. This includes participating in code reviews, managing source control, overseeing build processes, and ensuring the reliability of existing infrastructure systems. The position is well-suited for experienced software engineers who possess a strong background in system design and architecture. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of building and scaling complex software systems, along with expertise in programming and operational excellence. This role requires a candidate who is comfortable working within a large-scale distributed environment and is capable of contributing to the foundational technology that supports global data center operations.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 2+ years of building complex software systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
