3-3 years experienceAbout the Role The next generation of software won’t just be used by people — it’ll be built and shipped by agents. As an engineer on the Agentic Infrastructure team you will own the systems that power Vercel’s build and deployment lifecycle, design high‑performance microservices, and shape the long‑term vision of agentic infrastructure. Responsibilities Own and evolve infrastructure for build and deployment lifecycle, including webhooks, database schemas, and scalable APIs. Design, build, and operate high‑performance microservices processing millions of builds daily. Lead end‑to‑end projects from opportunity identification to delivery, improving performance, reliability, and developer experience. Collaborate across teams to align infrastructure with company goals and ensure seamless developer workflows. Participate in on‑call rotation and ensure reliability of critical systems. Contribute to open‑source community and write clean, tested, well‑documented code. Requirements 3+ years experience designing, building, and operating backend applications and distributed systems at scale. Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and infrastructure as code (Terraform). Track record of end‑to‑end ownership from design to production operation. Ability to collaborate across teams and influence technical direction. Bonus Familiarity with React or Next.js.
