You would work closely with foundation teams on prompting systems, evaluation and testing infrastructure, and underlying agent capabilities, while partnering with product, design, and other engineering partners to turn AI capabilities into intuitive experiences. Day‑to‑day tasks include writing code, prototyping features, running experiments, and iterating based on usability and impact metrics. The position suits engineers with three or more years of full‑stack experience in large codebases, a track record of delivering impactful features, and curiosity about AI, prompting, and agent‑style workflows. Collaboration, clear communication, and a willingness to learn emerging AI technologies are essential.

3-3 years experienceAbout the Role Asana is seeking an experienced and empathetic Software Engineer to join the AI Teammates Experience team. You will build engaging experiences that enable customers to work effectively with AI Teammates, creating interaction and product surfaces for teams, users, and admins. Responsibilities Drive full‑stack development of robust systems and product surfaces that enable users to guide and work alongside AI Teammates. Collaborate with cross‑functional product, design, and platform teams to turn cutting‑edge AI capabilities into intuitive product surfaces. Contribute to next‑generation interaction patterns for AI, including conversational flows and human‑in‑the‑loop workflows. Apply empathetic product judgment and rapid experimentation to iterate on features, ensuring high quality, usability, and measurable impact. Requirements 3+ years experience working across the stack within large, well‑maintained codebases. Experience building product features in complex technical domains; experience with applied AI, prompting systems, evaluation/testing infrastructure, or agent‑style workflows is a plus. Track record of scoping and delivering impactful features. Ability to bring structure, judgment, and collaboration to evolving AI/product challenges. Comfortable working in a highly cross‑functional environment with product, design, and engineering partners. Strong communication and curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies.
