As a Senior Application Architect in this organization, you would spend your days designing and reviewing serverless, distributed applications, guiding development teams, and consulting with clients on architecture decisions. You would use AWS services such as Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, Kubernetes and CloudFormation, apply infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Chef, Puppet, Salt or Ansible, and work with programming languages including Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, C# or C. The role also involves leading development efforts, managing large‑scale projects that may require up to 30% travel, and staying current with emerging topics such as generative/Agentic AI solutions. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field, plus over ten years of experience in technical architecture, consulting, software development and cloud‑based project leadership, along with hands‑on experience in the listed tools and languages. We work together with customer teams and the - 10+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience - 10+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience - 10+ years of software development with object oriented language experience - 10+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent - Travel up to 30% of the time - 6+ years of leading development of applications backed by AWS services or using other cloud based technologies and services experience - Experience with designing and building application using AWS services such as Lambda, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Kubernetes - Experience in one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C - Experience in professional, non-internship software development, or experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing - Experience with CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments - Familiarity with AI-DLC / AI-assisted software engineering, data preparation, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and deploying Generative/Agentic AI solutions Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
