About the Role Senior Staff Site Reliability Engineer at Zscaler, based in Bangalore, reporting to Director of Production Engineering and Reliability. Responsible for reliability and operational integrity of global fleet across GCP, AWS, and bare-metal. Responsibilities Develop production‑grade automation using Ansible, Python, and/or Go for bare‑metal provisioning and hardware lifecycle operations (IPMI/Redfish). Design fault‑tolerant provisioning systems with self‑healing and auto‑remediation. Build telemetry pipelines integrating metrics, logs, and tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, Victoria Metrics, Telegraf). Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, contribute to Agile/Scrum processes, and partner with software engineering teams to define production‑readiness criteria (SLOs, health‑checks, rollback). Requirements 7+ years of Production/Platform/Infrastructure Engineering experience in cloud or hybrid environments. Deep Linux/Unix systems mastery (OS internals, kernel networking, boot pipelines). Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and bare‑metal infrastructure. Proficiency in automation tools and languages: Ansible, Python, Go. Knowledge of hardware management interfaces (IPMI, Redfish). Familiarity with monitoring and tracing tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Victoria Metrics, Telegraf.
