8-8 years experienceAbout the Role We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer for the Federated Authentication team within Okta’s Enterprise Access pillar. The team builds login, user onboarding and recovery experiences for the Okta Identity Engine. Responsibilities Drive technical execution and architecture for the federated authentication platform. Lead design and implementation of core platform features and framework components. Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Principal Engineers on roadmap. Resolve complex technical challenges including performance, security, and architectural issues. Champion technical excellence, write clean modular code, and address technical debt. Requirements 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years building complex enterprise‑grade web applications. Proven technical leadership and architecture experience. Proficiency in at least one object‑oriented language such as Java or C#. Strong problem‑solving, mentorship, and ability to influence across teams.
