Amazon.com is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join a Fulfillment Optimization team that helps promise, plan, and execute the delivery of millions of packages to customers worldwide — faster and - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby - Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems) - Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure - Experience building services using AWS products - Experience with distributed systems at scale - Experience with Linux/Unix - Experience leveraging AI (Artificial Intelligence) agents for security review automation, spec-driven development practices, or adversarial red teaming - Experience building or integrating AI/GenAI-powered solutions (e.g., LLM-based tools, agentic frameworks, automated diagnostics or remediation) - Ability to work independently and solve problems using knowledge of an object-oriented programming language Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
