Robinhood operates a brokerage platform that aims to democratize access to financial markets by offering commission‑free trading and investment tools. As a Web Engineer intern you would work on the company’s web‑first trading product, turning designs into high‑performance features using React, TypeScript and CSS‑in‑JS. Day‑to‑day tasks include owning a feature from concept through implementation, writing and debugging JavaScript in both browser and Node environments, building reusable UI components and internal tooling that other teams rely on, and collaborating closely with product, design and platform groups to ship updates quickly. You would also help create frameworks and abstractions that accelerate development across the organization, advocate for testing and code‑review best practices, and contribute to a culture that values in‑person collaboration at least three days a week in Menlo Park, New York or Toronto. The role suits candidates with two or more years of professional web‑development experience, strong skills in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, a track record of leading projects, and a focus on delivering clean, maintainable code while improving the developer experience.

As a Web Engineer, you will lead the web development process and build products from inception to deployment. We also work closely with cross-functional teams like design, product management, and internal platforms to deliver high-impact features within multidisciplinary product teams. This individual will be helping solve challenges on, a web first, high-performance and world-class trading product centered on the web. This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA, New York, NY or Toronto, ON office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones.
