full-timeDesigner Working Student - Employer Branding
Teampicnic · Amsterdam
In a nutshell We’re looking for a Designer Working Student to help bring Picnic’s people, culture and opportunities to life. You’ll join our Employer Branding team and help shape how candidates experience Picnic, with a particular focus on our LinkedIn page and campaigns. You’ll create and edit visual content for our employer brand, combining design and video to tell stories that catch people’s attention. You’ll also take ownership of the processes behind our LinkedIn campaigns: helping plan content, coordinate assets, publish posts and keep campaigns running smoothly. From a first idea to the final edit and post, you’ll help make sure our content feels distinctive, engaging and true to Picnic. You’ll work with colleagues across Employer Branding and our wider Creative team of 20+ specialists, including designers, videographers and copywriters. Together, you’ll make content that reaches candidates across the Netherlands, France and Germany. Tricks of the trade Create employer brand content: Design and edit visuals and videos for Picnic’s LinkedIn page, campaigns and other employer branding channels. Own LinkedIn campaign processes: Help plan campaign content, coordinate the assets and timelines, publish posts and keep the process organised from start to finish. Bring stories to life: Turn ideas, interviews and raw footage into clear, engaging content that shows what it’s like to work at Picnic. Adapt content for different formats: Resize and refine designs and edits for different channels and placements, while keeping the look and message consistent. Support the creative process: Work with Employer Branding and Creative colleagues to develop ideas, gather feedback and deliver content on time. Learn and improve: Keep an eye on how content performs and use what you learn to help improve future posts and campaigns. Your superpowers You’re currently studying Visual Design, Graphic Design, Communication, Media, or a similar creative field. You’re excited by both visual design and video editing, and keen to work across formats. You have a portfolio or examples of your creative work that show a good eye for detail and a feel for visual storytelling. You have experience with, or are keen to develop your skills in, tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects. Familiarity with Figma is a plus. You’re organised and comfortable taking ownership of a process, managing details and following through on deadlines. You’re proactive, open to feedback and happy to roll up your sleeves in a fast-paced environment. Fluent in English (Dutch, French or German are a plus!) Picnic perks 🚀 Every expert was once a beginner! You’ll get plenty of opportunities to challenge yourself and grow, including Lunch & Learn sessions, and tailored soft skills training. 🌍 Make a difference You’ll work in an awesome startup environment with the freedom to drive your own projects and create a visible impact. Our fully electric vehicles and sustainable business model mean you’ll also be contributing to making the world a better place! 🤝 Teamwork makes the dream work With more than 80 nationalities across 3 countries, you’ll be part of a diverse company with plenty of cool stuff to get involved with, from board game evenings to after-work drinks to our company ski trip and more! 🥗Fresh Lunch, coffee, and snacks Our offices are equipped with fully-fledged coffee bars and a kitchen and chefs. They prepare delicious fresh and warm lunches every day so you can keep your energy up. 💪 Stay healthy Mental health is important. As well as having the option to speak with Picnic colleagues who act as confidential advisors, our collaboration with OpenUp gives you easy access to professional psychologists, along with workshops and materials.
