About the Role The Engagement Manager drives adoption of the GitLab platform, acts as a sales overlay, and serves as a trusted advisor for French‑speaking customers. Responsibilities Perform discovery with account teams or customers to understand current state and desired outcomes. Identify and propose standard or custom services aligned to customer outcomes. Build custom‑scoped service proposals and explain technical solutions. Meet and exceed set financial targets. Explain GitLab Services value proposition, commercial terms, and pricing. Guide account teams on legal agreements and inclusion of consulting services. Coordinate staffing with PS Operations to match skillset, language, and timezone. Handle objections, update quarterly bookings forecast using Salesforce/Clari. Identify and communicate risks, and build relationships with Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and Solutions Architects. Participate in sales leadership forecast calls and provide service forecasts. Provide timely responses to customer inquiries and reinforce the Global Services brand. Mentor with senior engagement manager and develop an individual development plan. Communicate customer behavior trends to Practice Management. Requirements Fluency in French (essential). Strong understanding of the GitLab platform, DevSecOps, and AI. Experience with service proposals, financial targets, and forecasting. Familiarity with Salesforce or Clari. Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage engagements.
