As a Senior Engineering Manager on this team, you would lead a group of engineers responsible for developing reliable data services and the privacy and governance capabilities that enable responsible data use across the organization. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include coaching and growing engineers, partnering with product, design, and senior leaders to set and execute quarterly roadmaps, guiding technical decisions, promoting high‑quality code and sound engineering practices, staying involved through design and code reviews, incident leadership, and on‑call participation. You would also own processes that improve engineering quality and help meet service‑level commitments, and work with recruiting to hire strong engineers. The role suits candidates with seven or more years of software engineering experience, at least two years in engineering management, a background in data platforms or distributed systems, familiarity with blockchain technologies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, strong execution focus, hands‑on leadership style, clear communication, and a customer‑oriented mindset. As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a team developing reliable data services and the privacy and governance capabilities that help teams use data responsibly. What you’ll do Lead, coach, and grow engineers; support their development and career progression. Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and senior leaders to set a clear quarterly roadmap and deliver it iteratively. Guide technical decisions and promote high-quality code, sound engineering practices, and reliable distributed systems. Stay close to the work through design and code reviews, incident leadership, on-call participation, and troubleshooting when needed. Own processes that improve engineering quality and help the team meet its service-level commitments. Partner with recruiting to attract and hire strong engineers. Required Skills and Experience: 7+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in data platform or infrastructure, including 2+ years in engineering management. Experience building, delivering, and operating distributed systems at scale. Strong engineering judgment and the ability to foster quality, maintainability, and effective development practices. An execution-focused approach: able to work through ambiguity, balance near-term delivery with long-term planning, and turn complex goals into actionable work. A hands-on leadership style and willingness to engage in technical work and operational responsibilities. Experience leading technical change in a large, fast-moving organization. Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. Clear communication, ownership, and a strong customer focus. Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality. #LI-REMOTE Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below. Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility and benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).
