The Senior Security Engineer, Incident Response will lead technical handling of security events across Twilio’s global infrastructure and applications. Daily work includes triaging alerts, containing threats, performing remediation, and documenting each step in runbooks and standard operating procedures. The role requires collaborating with engineering and product teams to design scalable response processes, automate detection and mitigation where possible, and participate in on‑call rotations and post‑incident root‑cause analyses. The engineer will also mentor teammates and build relationships with internal customers to improve overall security posture. Ideal candidates have at least five years of hands‑on incident response experience in production‑cloud environments, deep knowledge of service‑oriented architectures, and the ability to apply advanced detection techniques, including AI‑assisted analysis. Strong documentation skills, a proactive mindset, and comfort working remotely in a fast‑moving, cross‑functional setting are essential.
