As a Senior Software Engineer for the Cloud team, you will focus on evolving the infrastructure that powers full-stack web applications and AI-driven agents. Your day-to-day responsibilities include building and operating reliable cloud services on AWS and Cloudflare, managing compute, storage, and networking resources, and utilizing edge compute capabilities to ensure fast, resilient website performance. You will own features from the initial design phase through implementation and deployment, while also participating in on-call rotations to investigate and resolve production incidents. This role is well-suited for an experienced backend engineer with over five years of production experience who is proficient in TypeScript and Node.js. The ideal candidate has a strong background in designing backend service boundaries, optimizing databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB, and applying sound engineering judgment to balance rapid delivery with long-term system maintainability. You should be comfortable working in a remote-first environment and effectively leveraging AI-assisted development practices to accelerate your workflow.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build and evolve Webflow Cloud, helping builders and marketing practitioners build, deploy, and run full-stack web applications with the assistance of cloud based AI agents. Evolve the infrastructure that powers web applications and AI agents on Webflow Cloud. Participate in the team’s on-call rotation, investigate production incidents, and drive improvements that prevent recurring issues. Utilize CDN and edge compute capabilities that help customers deliver fast, resilient websites and applications around the world. Own features from customer problem through design, implementation, rollout, and ongoing improvement. Use AI-assisted development practices to accelerate delivery while applying sound engineering judgment, rigorous validation, and clear accountability for code quality. Participate in engineering citizenship activities such as co-authoring engineering blogs, strengthening our hiring processes, and leading internal hackathon teams. About you: BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience 5+ years building and operating backend services in production Demonstrated experience in backend service design defining service boundaries, contracts and data ownership, not only implementing within them Business-level fluency to read, write and speak in English You'll thrive as a Senior Software Engineer, Cloud, if you … Have experience building and operating production services on AWS, Cloudflare, or similar cloud platforms. Have experience designing data models, optimizing queries, and operating production databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB. Are fluent in TypeScript and Node.js, and comfortable with edge runtimes. Understand modern website and web application architecture, including HTTP, caching, CDNs, and edge compute. Apply best practices for performance, security, accessibility, and reliability. Take ownership of features from early discovery and technical design through delivery and ongoing operation. Use AI effectively in your personal or professional development practices.
