A fast growing business within NICE is the NICE Public Safety and Justice Line of Business, which develops state of the art solutions that integrate and put into context information from many sources to help emergency control rooms and investigation departments reconstruct and understand the who, what, when, where and why of an incident. This business also provides industry leading cloud solutions for the Criminal Justice market for the acquisition, management and analysis of digital evidence for over 3,000 public safety customers, including many major global cities. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a key player in this rapidly growing business area. This role requires work from a Secure Room located in the Hedge End office of NICE (near Southampton) – 5 days per week. Scope: We are looking for a talented professional services engineer to join our technology team. Primary focus will be on implementing the technical aspects of NICE product deployments and non-standard configuration requests as well as assisting product teams to successfully introduce new products/versions. Championing supportability and delivering preventative actions on behalf of our customers is also key. This role is responsible for: · Implementing and supporting custom deployments and integration of various NICE product suites for clients. · Working on non-standard configuration requests, manual database and file manipulations and other advanced system adjustments. · Working effectively with staff in all areas of the business, escalating when appropriate to management and/or R&D. Taking into account technical and commercial relationships with end users, partners and service providers. · Accurately tracking effort on tasks - recognizing scope and effort variances early, evaluating impact and raising issues as appropriate. · Using best practice methods, quality standards, and guidelines on all project phases. Key personal attributes: · Comfort working as part of a distributed team · Working with minimal guidance once trained · Comfort communicating with customers at all levels · Excellent written and verbal communications in English · Excellent problem solver and ability to work under pressure Education and experience: Education ● Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field preferred. However, suitable and demonstrable professional experience will also be considered. Required experience: · System/implementation engineering for complex data driven solutions · Scripting (PowerShell / .Net / C#/Java, etc.) · APIs (REST, SOAP) including interfacing with Postman or Fiddler · Data handling, including RDBMS (MS SQL) · Technical and analytical skills · Windows server/client · Efficient, effective and respectful communication skills both with customers and within internal departments. Including: o Listening, ability to identify and validate assumptions. o Ability to use effective questioning to confirm understanding of a customer problem and then provide help to solve it o Delivery of technical information (written and verbal) to customers of varying technical expertise and experience o Methodical troubleshooting, technical skill and attention to detail used in diagnosing problems and re
