About the Role Reddit’s Ads Creative Effectiveness team builds GenAI and predictive products for ad creative. The Staff Machine Learning Engineer will develop generative image, video and copy generators, performance‑guided pipelines, and brand‑safe editing tools. Responsibilities Advanced Generative Workflows: architect state‑of‑the‑art pipelines for ad creative generation, including IP‑Adapters and LoRAs. End‑to‑End Image & Video Editing: implement smart‑crop, inpaint, outpaint, resize, and style‑transfer capabilities. LLM/VLM Fine‑Tuning: adapt large vision‑language models using RLHF/RLPF based on ad performance metrics. Safety & Compliance Layer: build robust filtering, brand‑safety and copyright checks. Partner Broadly: collaborate with product, sales, policy, UX and Ads ML teams to integrate capabilities into the Ad Manager UI. Requirements Deep ML expertise with tree models, neural networks, ranking, and LLM/VLM fine‑tuning. Experience with uplift metrics, variance analysis and experimentation for generative systems. Knowledge of ad auction dynamics and advertiser needs. Startup mindset, strong communication skills, and prior work on ad creative tooling. Nice‑to‑have experience with brand‑safety, privacy or copyright frameworks in generative AI.
