It sits within United Media, a group that builds large‑scale media and conference products for sectors such as insurance, HR, private equity and retail. As a Venture Development Manager you will be responsible for running and scaling the SetSales business, which includes recruiting and leading a high‑performing team, planning and delivering conferences on time and within budget, and shaping the brand as a hub for inspiration, knowledge and networking. Day‑to‑day tasks will involve setting goals, providing performance feedback, coordinating cross‑functional activities, identifying expansion opportunities with existing clients and supporting new client acquisition. The role suits candidates with an MBA or equivalent, at least four years of experience in fast‑paced environments such as consulting, investment banking or high‑growth startups, strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills and a proven record of delivering results. A work permit for the UK, EU or US is required.

The Opportunity. As a Venture Development Manager, you will run, grow and manage all aspects of SetSales. You will be responsible for building and leading a world-class team, ensuring the successful execution of the conference and strategy of the brand. You are someone who is thrilled to work in a fast-paced environment and wants to scale the company rapidly. Responsibilities : Recruit, build and develop a high-performing team. Build an ecosystem and deliver outstanding products. Set clear expectations, establish goals, and provide ongoing detailed feedback and performance evaluations. Execute the strategy at a rapid pace. Develop the company’s brand as the go-to place for inspiration, knowledge and networking. Oversee planning, execution, and completion of conferences within the designated timelines and budget constraints. Assign tasks to team members in each department, monitor progress, and ensure project objectives are achieved. Identify opportunities to expand business with existing clients and collaborate with business development teams for new client acquisition. Competitive salary Requirement +4 years’ experience from an institution with high speed and work ethic e.g. management consulting, investment banking, top-tier corporate or start-up. Bachelor’s degree with outstanding results, maybe followed by an MBA Strong commercial awareness and a passion for business. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
