This Distinguished Engineer role within the Discovery team focuses on the technical vision and execution of machine learning initiatives that power search and recommendation systems. The successful candidate will design and evolve infrastructure for both traditional machine learning and generative AI models, such as transformers and LLM-based workflows. Requirements 10+ years of experience delivering large‑scale search and recommendation systems. Experience building large‑scale ML models with billions of parameters and deploying them to production. Ability to break down long‑term product requirements into iterative stages. Proven record of making challenging technical decisions across multiple teams. Strong empathy, user‑centric mindset, and ability to solve data and ML problems. Broad expertise across multiple languages and technologies, adaptable to new situations. Eligibility BS degree required.
