Senior Machine Learning Engineering Manager, Communication Safety

Roblox operates a global platform for 3D immersive digital experiences, enabling a community of developers and creators to build and share interactive content. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineering Manager for Communication Safety, you will lead a team of engineers tasked with building and scaling AI systems designed to moderate language and text content. Your daily responsibilities will involve overseeing the development of machine learning models for real-time content understanding, managing data pipelines, and architecting solutions that detect and mitigate abusive behavior across chat, usernames, and game descriptions. You will bridge the gap between technical execution and platform policy, working closely with product and trust and safety teams to ensure these systems function at massive scale. This role is well-suited for an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in production-grade machine learning who can balance complex technical architecture with the strategic goal of maintaining a safe and civil environment for a diverse, global user base.
