7-7 years experienceAbout the Role We are seeking a Manager, Revenue Accounting to join Datadog's Finance team. The role owns the monthly revenue close, technical revenue accounting under ASC 606, SOX controls, and partners cross‑functionally to scale order‑to‑cash and billing processes. Responsibilities Own monthly revenue close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Manage, coach, and develop a team of revenue accountants. Handle technical revenue conclusions under ASC 606, including complex arrangements and RPO disclosures. Design, document, and operate SOX controls across revenue and order‑to‑cash. Partner with Deal Desk, Legal, Sales Systems, Order Operations, and Customer Success on deal structures and billing matters. Lead process and system improvements with NetSuite and Salesforce enhancements. Own revenue workstream for annual audit and quarterly reviews. Prepare internal revenue metrics, flux analysis, and commentary for finance leadership. Lead ad‑hoc projects and analyses. Requirements 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 2+ years managing people. BS/BA degree in Accounting. Deep working knowledge of ASC 606 for usage‑based and multi‑element SaaS arrangements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to influence cross‑functional teams. Bonus Points: CPA, experience with usage‑based billing, SOX controls, NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, SQL, Tableau. Eligibility BS/BA degree in Accounting.
