Senior Data Scientist, Causal Inference

Lyft is a transportation technology company that operates a ride-sharing platform. As a Senior Data Scientist focused on causal inference, you will join the Growth Products team to optimize rider and driver acquisition strategies. The role involves designing and analyzing experiments, building statistical pipelines, and developing marketing mix models to measure the effectiveness of various investment channels. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of data science solutions, from initial problem definition with stakeholders to deploying production-ready models. This position requires writing production-level code and participating in on-call rotations to maintain automated campaign systems. The ideal candidate possesses an advanced degree in a quantitative field such as statistics or economics and has at least four years of industry experience. You should demonstrate deep technical proficiency in causal inference, marketing mix modeling, Python, and SQL, along with the ability to translate complex statistical concepts into actionable business insights. This is a hybrid role based in New York City, requiring an in-office presence three days per week.
