Senior Firmware Engineer

Microsoft is a global technology company that develops software, cloud services, and hardware products. As a Senior Firmware Engineer based in one of its Indian offices in Noida, Bangalore or Hyderabad, you would be responsible for designing, implementing and testing firmware that runs on embedded devices used across Microsoft's product portfolio. Day-to-day work typically involves writing low-level code in C or C++, configuring microcontrollers, interfacing with sensors and peripherals, and ensuring real-time performance through RTOS or bare-metal approaches. You would collaborate closely with hardware architects, validate designs on test benches, debug issues using JTAG or logic analyzers, and maintain code in version-control systems while following coding standards and documentation practices. The role suits engineers with several years of firmware development experience, strong debugging skills, and a solid grasp of hardware-software integration, who are comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
