The Media Experience team focuses on making video consumption on the app smooth and engaging, working to increase the number of users who regularly watch video and the total time they spend viewing it. As a senior iOS engineer on that team you would lead the iOS side of video‑focused features, designing playback surfaces and UI flows that aim to boost watch time and retention. Daily work includes writing Swift code, integrating HLS streaming, instrumenting performance and QoE metrics, running A/B tests to validate changes, and collaborating with backend, ML ranking and feeds teams to turn platform capabilities into user‑facing experiences. You would also help shape the product roadmap, set engineering standards for media components, and mentor others while ensuring the app remains stable and performant across devices and network conditions.
