7-7 years experienceAbout the Role Senior Software Engineer, Identity and Access Management at Klaviyo. Work on authentication, authorization, delegation, auditing, and revocation services for the platform. Responsibilities Lead business‑critical projects from design through launch and long‑term operation. Build secure, reliable services for authentication, authorization, delegation, auditing, and revocation. Break ambiguous problems into clear work for multiple engineers. Own customer impact, reliability, and technical quality in production. Improve architecture as scale, security, and product needs evolve. Define and maintain SLOs for owned systems. Partner with Security, Product, Platform, and engineering teams. Create reusable IAM patterns for other teams. Mentor engineers and guide project contributors. Apply new engineering and AI tools responsibly. Requirements 7+ years of experience building and operating production software. Hands‑on experience developing production services in Go or Python. Experience with authentication, authorization, identity, or related security systems. Built networking systems, API gateways, APIs, or SDKs. Led complex multi‑engineer projects. Strong judgment, ownership, and customer focus. Nice to have: experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, React, Django, auth or policy systems, secure platforms, enterprise security, auditability, data residency, compliance.
