5-5 years experienceAbout the Role We are looking for an experienced full stack Staff Software Engineer with a focus on UI to define the vision for Okta’s UI platform infrastructure and work with a globally distributed engineering team. Responsibilities Define, own, and drive architectural vision and technical roadmap for UI platform subsystems. Serve as design reviewer for high‑impact proposals and cross‑team specifications. Drive cross‑functional alignment and resolve technical ambiguity. Mentor senior engineers and establish best practices. Build reusable components, design patterns, and tools for developers. Be a hands‑on contributor to complex foundational components. Requirements 5+ years of software development experience. Expertise in Java, Python, or C++ and frameworks such as Spring, React.js, or Node.js. Strong grasp of software architecture, scalable and maintainable system design. Excellent communication skills. Nice to have experience with internationalization, localization, globalization, accessibility tooling, UI build tooling, CLIs, and design systems. Eligibility Must be on U.S. soil (50 states, DC, or outlying areas) and be a U.S. person.
