About the Role Threat Response Engineer (TRE) role within Zscaler's Security Services department, responsible for responding to confirmed compromises on customer endpoints subscribed to the Active Remediation MDR service. Responsibilities Perform investigations into detected threats and use security products to analyze, contain, and remediate threats in customer environments. Provide thorough reports of actions taken to customers. Identify and implement response strategies to enhance security posture. Collaborate with Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, Intel, and Product teams. Prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation. Requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience responding to security events. Experience with EDR products such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne, or CarbonBlack. Understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems. Curiosity and experience with AI tools to augment workflows. Professional communication and documentation skills. Availability Monday-Friday 10:00 am-6:00 pm MT and ability to join monthly on-call rotation. Eligibility Internship position; no specific degree or pass-out year required; open to candidates in the USA.
