The Financial Systems team builds the data foundation that powers Accounting reporting, reconciliations and automation, using dbt and Snowflake to create a single source of truth for financial information. As an Analyst II focused on the full‑stack analytics engineering of this platform, you will build and maintain dbt models that support core accounting datasets, write tests, alerting and runbooks to improve reliability, and document data lineage so changes are auditable. Day‑to‑day work includes troubleshooting production data issues, optimizing Snowflake queries and dbt performance, and partnering with engineering and business stakeholders to turn requirements into durable, well‑tested assets. You will also contribute to team best practices around GitHub‑based version control, code review and release hygiene. The role suits candidates with three or more years of analytics or data engineering experience, strong SQL, hands‑on dbt modeling, familiarity with Git and pull‑request workflows, and comfort working in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments; prior exposure to finance or accounting data is a plus. The position is remote‑first within Spain, and Affirm offers visa sponsorship for eligible applicants.

Responsibilities Build and maintain dbt models and core datasets. Improve platform reliability with testing, alerting, and runbooks. Own and document data pipelines and lineage. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production data issues. Optimize performance and cost in Snowflake and dbt. Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver well‑tested data assets. Contribute to version control, code review, documentation, and release hygiene practices. Requirements 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering. Strong SQL skills and hands‑on experience with dbt. Experience with Git/GitHub based workflows. Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses. Ability to work in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments. Nice to have finance/accounting data knowledge, Workato or Fivetran experience, Python for data manipulation, and CI pipeline familiarity. Eligibility Visa sponsorship is available for candidates based in Spain. Remote‑first work model within Spain.
