Alan operates as a health insurance and prevention company, integrating insurance services, preventative care, and health management into a unified user experience. The Data Full Stack role involves a versatile approach where team members contribute across the entire data spectrum, including analytics, data engineering, and data science. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing health consumption patterns, building data-powered product features, automating reimbursement processes, and creating internal tooling to support sales and operational teams. You will work with a modern data stack that includes SQL, Python, R, Airflow, Snowflake, and Metabase. This position is well-suited for candidates who possess a strong sense of ownership and are comfortable working across different data disciplines rather than focusing on a single silo. The ideal applicant is a collaborative problem-solver who values precision, maintains high standards for their technical craft, and is eager to develop simple, impactful solutions to complex healthcare challenges. Proficiency in SQL and Python or R is required, along with the ability to communicate clearly in English within a distributed, international team environment.

And beyond. ⭐️ The Data Team Being part of Alan's data team means you'll have a positive impact on people's health and wellbeing . We create insights to help our colleagues focus on what is most impactful. We build features and tools powered by data that directly help our members. Examples include: going deep into health consumption patterns, understanding our product usage, creating visibility to help our sales team perform, automating how we reimburse our members, building products that help our members stay healthy... We also believe in having a full stack approach: Each one of us contributes to all 3 aspects of the data spectrum (analytics, engineering, science) . This encourages strong ownership and drives impact. We own our infrastructure . We pride ourselves on a nimble data stack that gives us the flexibility we need. We're mainly using SQL, Python, R, Airflow, Snowflake, and Metabase. We build in-house tooling to organize our data and serve it to the rest of the company. 🎯 Expected skills and abilities You would thrive at Alan if most of this sounds like you: Passionate about owning ambitious problems and developing simple solutions for them Demonstrated impact during a first successful experience. Experience or willingness to grow in all 3 aspects of the data spectrum (analytics, engineering, science) -- being specialized in one of these areas is good too! Proficient in SQL, Python and/or R- Setting a high standard of rigor and precision for yourself, interested in your craft Great listening and communication skills Humble, kind, collaborative, and still willing to grow (no matter your seniority!)
