About the Role Twilio is seeking an Emerging Fraud Researcher to detect emerging fraud trends across voice, messaging, and email channels. The role involves researching new fraud behaviors using AI tools and collaborating with data science and engineering teams. Responsibilities Perform independent research using AI tools to identify novel fraud trends. Work with data scientists to create ML models for fraud detection. Stress test the network for vulnerabilities. Analyze large-scale messaging and voice traffic for fraudulent patterns. Develop and execute proactive fraud mitigation strategies. Collaborate to refine detection models and reduce false positives. Conduct investigations into high-impact fraud incidents and provide recommendations. Monitor industry trends in fraud and bot detection. Requirements 5+ years experience in fraud investigations, trust & safety, or security analysis in high‑growth tech or large‑scale distributed systems. Advanced expertise in complex data analysis, SQL, and data visualization tools. Proven track record designing proactive fraud mitigation strategies. Strong cross‑functional incident response leadership. Familiarity with machine learning concepts applied to fraud detection. Relevant certifications (CFE, CISSP) desired. Experience in CPaaS, telecommunications, or payments industry desired. Eligibility Open to candidates worldwide except CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA. Remote work with occasional travel for in‑person meetings.
