contractEngineering Manager, Knowledge Graph Platform
Reddit · Remote - United States
Reddit runs a social news and discussion platform where users submit, vote and comment on topics across more than 100,000 active communities. The Knowledge Graph Platform team builds the systems that let Reddit understand entities, relationships and context in its content, turning raw posts into a structured, AI‑powered graph that supports ads, search, shopping and user‑facing features. As the Engineering Manager for this team you would lead a group of engineers, coach them and set the technical direction for a scalable knowledge‑graph platform, including defining data and API contracts, service interfaces, reliability, observability and developer experience. You would establish production‑grade operating standards such as SLOs, data quality measures, governance and change‑management practices, and work closely with computational linguists, domain experts and product teams to align ontology, prioritize use cases and drive adoption. The role suits candidates with eight or more years of software engineering experience, at least two years of people management, a background in building or operating data‑intensive or AI/ML platforms, and a track record of delivering shared technical systems with clear contracts, strong technical judgment and cross‑functional communication.
