The Legal Project Manager III role focuses on building and refining the operational infrastructure that supports Samsara’s legal team. Day‑to‑day work includes defining and maintaining metrics, dashboards and reporting frameworks that give leadership visibility into workload and outcomes, redesigning legal processes to create scalable workflows, playbooks and templates, and leading end‑to‑end legal operations initiatives from scoping through stakeholder alignment. The role also manages intake queues, ensures timely resolution of legal requests, and designs AI‑assisted workflows to automate tasks such as contract review support. Candidates should have several years of experience in legal operations, project management or analytical roles, preferably within a technology or SaaS environment, and be comfortable working with data, process improvement tools and emerging AI technologies.

About the role: We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Legal Operations Specialist (AI & Automation) with exceptional project management skills to join our dynamic legal operations team. This is a technical role that will help design, improve, and scale the operational workflows that support the entire Legal team, with a focus on establishing and maintaining metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks. This role will also drive the integration of AI across the Legal team’s workflows and processes. This is a position open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area. In this role, you will: Establish and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that give the Legal team and its stakeholders real-time visibility into workload, performance, and outcomes and manage risk. Redesign and continuously improve legal processes, building scalable workflows, playbooks, and templates and identifying gaps or efficiencies that allow the Legal team to handle growing demand. Lead internal and cross-functional legal operations initiatives end-to-end, from scoping and stakeholder alignment. Manage team queues, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution of legal inquiries, requests, and tasks. Design and implement AI-assisted workflows to automate legal intake, contract review support. Stay at the forefront of industry trends and innovations in legal operations, sharing expertise and insights with the team to drive continuous improvement. Minimum requirements for the role: 5+ years of in relevant operations/analytical/technical work, with experience at a technology or SaaS company. Proven ability to build and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks; comfort working with data and presenting insights to leadership. Hands-on experience with GenAI and AI models/tools. Demonstrated success in managing workflow, intake, approval, reporting, or automation tools used in legal or operations settings. Adaptability and a proactive mindset to navigate changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Exceptional problem-solving and project management skills, with a proven track record of driving successful initiatives. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across cross-functional teams. Keen attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple projects. An ideal candidate also has: Proficiency or path to proficiency in building and managing agentic AI workflows and other automations.
