contractStaff Product Manager, Moderation
Reddit · Remote - United States
Reddit operates a platform where users gather in thousands of interest‑based communities to submit, vote, and comment on topics they care about. The Staff Product Manager, Moderation will shape how Reddit supports its volunteer moderators, moving from manual, reactive tools toward proactive, intelligent systems powered by large language models. Day‑to‑day work includes identifying high‑impact moderation opportunities, defining a clear product strategy and roadmap, and leading zero‑to‑one development of LLM‑driven experiences that improve community health and reduce moderator burden. The role requires deep engagement with moderators and community members to translate insights into product specifications, defining success metrics and model evaluation criteria that balance precision, recall, latency, and error costs. Close partnership with engineering, data science, design, safety, and senior leaders is essential to drive execution and communicate trade‑offs to executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings staff‑level product ownership, strong user intuition, proven zero‑to‑one or major product‑evolution experience, fluency in AI/ML product trade‑offs, and analytical judgment, preferably with background in community, trust/safety, or moderation‑focused products.
