Okta secures AI by building trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. The AI Takeoff Team creates a rapid feedback loop from customers to product and engineering, operating with startup speed within a larger enterprise. Responsibilities Work closely with top customers and AI Forward Deployed Engineering to translate customer needs into AI capabilities and deliver them to production. Partner with Okta Engineering, Product and Design to ensure capabilities are production‑ready, secure, reliable, scalable and of high quality. Build, grow and mentor a small, focused team of AI Takeoff engineers. Serve as senior technical SME in customer engagements, technical evaluations and complex sales processes. Lead complex customer escalations, identifying root causes and delivering durable solutions. Own technical strategy, architecture and execution for the AI Takeoff engineering roadmap. Requirements 8+ years building and shipping identity, security, infrastructure or developer‑focused products in a high‑growth organization. Proven engineering leadership and team management experience, including hiring and developing high‑performing teams. Strong executive communication and influencing skills. Experience working directly with enterprise customers and translating problems into technical solutions. Deep identity domain expertise and ability to quickly learn latest identity protocols and standards. Experience operating in high‑ambiguity, high‑velocity environments. Strong product and customer orientation with ability to balance urgency, quality and scalability.
