The Software Engineer II role sits within the Dual Message Authorization team, where the incumbent will turn complex system requirements into modular code, participate in requirements reviews and code development, and help shape development standards, processes and tools. Daily work includes designing and implementing features, conducting code and design reviews, collaborating with scrum teammates to elaborate stories, and working with domain experts to create, execute and improve verification tests. The position follows SDLC and STLC processes using Agile tools such as ALM, and expects the engineer to maintain high quality through unit testing, static analysis and debugging. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, have extensive experience with C and C++ on Unix environments, including socket programming, IPC and shared memory, and are familiar with unit-test tools, static code analyzers and debuggers. Knowledge of the payment domain and ISO 8583 is a plus, as are strong analytical, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Overview The Dual Message Authorization team is looking for a Software Engineer to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an quality driven mindset. Role In this software engineer position, You will: • Translate complex system requirements and specs into elegant design and modular code. • Participate in requirements reviews and code development activities; monitor resolutions and update documentation. • Create & enhance development standards, processes, tools and methodologies; partner with other functions to develop and test requirements. • Be a vital part of scrum team and participate in requirements review/story elaborations, design, coding and code reviews to deliver high quality products • Work with software developers and domain experts in designing, performing, and improving verification tests • Work collaboratively and effectively in a very fast paced environment. • Perform design and code reviews to improve quality of the products • Follow the SDLC and STLC process with quality management and Agile tools like ALM All About You • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field • Extensive experience in C, C++ on Unix. • Experience with socket programming, IPC, Shared memory. • Experience with Unit test tools, Static code analysis tools, debuggers. • Payment domain knowledge (ISO 8583) is a definite plus • Experience in creating, executing and analyzing functional tests based on the requirements • Experience on SDLC and STLC • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical skills • Strong oral and written communication skills • Always look for simple potential solutions to solve problems Corporate Security Responsibility All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must: Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices; Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed; Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.
