Security Consultant Secops

Microsoft is a global technology company that develops software, cloud platforms, and enterprise services used by organizations worldwide. As a Security Consultant focused on SecOps, you will work within the security operations team to monitor enterprise environments for suspicious activity, analyze alerts from security information and event management tools, and investigate potential incidents. Day‑to‑day tasks include tuning detection rules, conducting threat hunting exercises, coordinating response efforts with IT and application owners, documenting findings, and recommending improvements to security controls. You will also assist in vulnerability assessments, help design security architectures for cloud and on‑premise workloads, and stay current with emerging threats and mitigation techniques. The role suits candidates with a solid foundation in networking, operating systems, and security fundamentals, hands‑on experience with SIEM or EDR platforms, and familiarity with incident response frameworks. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Azure Security Engineer are advantageous but not required.
