The role works across high‑impact consumer teams such as Core Product & Feeds, Community & Presence, Growth & Engagement, Monetization & Conversion, Identity & Security. Responsibilities Cross‑Functional Product Architecture: partner with Product Management, Design, Data Science, and Client Engineers to translate needs into low‑latency solutions. End‑to‑End Delivery: own full software lifecycle from design docs and API contracts to development, testing, rollout, and observability. Metrics & Experimentation‑Led Engineering: design, build, and evaluate A/B experiments using tools like BigQuery, HEX, or Firebase. API & System Performance: build and maintain scalable APIs (GraphQL, REST, gRPC) and backend services optimized for client consumption and UI performance. Technical Rigor & Modern Tooling: establish best practices, improve workflows, mentor teammates, and use AI‑integrated tools. Requirements 5+ years of hands‑on backend development experience building large‑scale distributed serving systems. Proficiency in front‑end languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, ES6. Experience with front‑end frameworks such as Lit, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular and CSS. Familiarity with modern workflows and AI‑assisted engineering tools.
