About the Role The intern will build and run Affirm's end‑to‑end security review process for enterprise AI/LLM systems, evaluating architecture, data flows, permissions and designing controls and guardrails. Responsibilities Lead and improve the AI security review process. Threat model AI/LLM systems for risks such as prompt injection, data poisoning, and tool‑permission abuse. Review source code, system prompts, agent configurations and tool manifests. Design and build security guardrails, authn/authz, logging/monitoring and policy‑as‑code using Python and IaC. Evaluate AI capabilities of third‑party SaaS vendors and drive risk‑based adoption decisions. Identify emerging AI security vulnerabilities and develop mitigations. Lead cross‑functional AI security initiatives and contribute to incident response playbooks. Requirements Hands‑on experience with threat modeling and AI/LLM security. Proficiency in Python and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes). Experience with security tooling (CASB, Okta) and policy‑as‑code. Strong understanding of AI/LLM architectures, RAG, embeddings. Eligibility Open to remote interns located in Canada.
