Engineering Manager, Dynamic Pricing

Lyft operates a transportation network platform connecting riders with drivers. The Engineering Manager for Dynamic Pricing will lead a team of 6-8 engineers focused on the systems that determine ride pricing in real-time. This role sits within the Marketplace organization, where the team balances rider experience with driver earnings by utilizing historical and real-time data. Day-to-day responsibilities involve overseeing the reliability and evolution of high-traffic pricing services, partnering with data scientists to transition machine learning models into production, and managing technical debt. The manager will be responsible for defining the team's engineering roadmap, facilitating cross-functional collaboration with product and science teams, and ensuring the systems meet strict operational SLAs. This position is suitable for an experienced leader with a background in software development who can navigate complex architectural tradeoffs while mentoring and growing a high-performing engineering team.
