Senior Silicon Engineer - Front -end CAD

Microsoft, a global technology company, is seeking a senior silicon engineer to work on front‑end CAD for its silicon development efforts in Bangalore. In this role you will collaborate with architecture and design teams to define and implement CAD flows that support RTL creation, synthesis, and timing closure for custom chips. Day‑to‑day activities include writing and maintaining scripts in Python or Tcl, verifying designs through simulation and formal methods, debugging integration issues, and improving the usability and performance of internal EDA tools. You will also participate in design reviews, contribute to methodology improvements, and mentor junior engineers on best practices for front‑end silicon development. The position suits candidates with several years of VLSI design experience, strong knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog, familiarity with synthesis and static timing analysis tools, and proficiency in scripting languages.
